SODIUM SULFIDE / SODIUM SULPHIDE 60% MIN

Sodium sulfide is a chemical compound with the formula NA2S. Both the anhydrous and hydrated salts in pure crystalline form are colorless solids, although technical grades of sodium sulfide are generally yellow to brick red. They are water-soluble, giving strongly alkaline solution. When exposed to moist air, Na2S and its hydrates emit hydrogen sulfide, an extremely toxic, flammable and corrosive gas which smells like rotten eggs.

Application: Sodium sulfide is primarily used in the Kraft process in the pulp and paper industry. In the textile industry as a bleaching agent, for desulfurizing and as a dechlorinating agent. It is also used during leather processing, as an unhairing agent in liming operation.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Store in a tightly closed container and keep away from strong acids.

Standard: The performance is standard by National standards of the People’s Republic of China GB/T 10500-2009 and also accords with European and American Standards.
