GLACIAL ACETIC ACID (GAA) 99%

Acetic acid, systematically named as ethanoic acid; it has the chemical formula of CH3C00H (also written as CH3C02H, C2H402, or HC2H302). The global demand for acetic acid is about 6.5% million metric tons per year (t/a), of which approximately 1.5 t/a is met by recycling; the remainder is manufactured from methanol. Pure anhydrous acetic acid (glacial acetic acid) is a colorless hygroscopic solid. After solidification, it is a colorless crystal. Its aqueous solution is weakly acidic and corrosive, and steam has irritating effects on eyes and nose.

Application: It is one of the most important organic acids and widely used in prephotographic drug manufacturing, fabric printing and dyeing and rubber industry.
